Kabàl is the newest project by Jo Zanders, a familiar and cherished presence at Boombalfestival for over twenty years. With bands such as Naragonia and KV Express, and through his powerful percussion projects, he has helped shape the unique atmosphere that defines our festival.

The beating heart of the band lies in the distinctive compositions of Katrien Bos and Richard de Waardt. Their music is warm and adventurous, deeply rooted in tradition and driven by a strong desire to explore and renew.

With Kabàl, a new chapter unfolds. Expect deep musicality, rhythmic drive and unmistakable energy, brought together in a sound that feels both grounded and refreshingly new.
