This quartet from Poitou (drums, accordion, vocals, and trumpet) takes us into a world blending arranged songs and traditional melodies. Ma Petite draws its inspiration from texts collected in the old Poitou region, around which the group composes its current repertoire.

The innovative roles the group gives to the accordion, drums, and trumpet create an intriguing sound palette that draws us into a gradual trance and reveals intense melodies and lyrics. The members’ pop and contemporary influences elevate these texts from the oral tradition, giving rise to a powerful, organic, and decidedly new ensemble.
