A touch of elegance and harmony

Gérard Godon is a prominent accordionist and composer in the European balfolk scene. He is best known for his work with the folk group Parasol, which he co-founded. Parasol has undergone several transformations over the years, featuring collaborations with musicians such as Eric Thézé on clarinet and Catherine Grimault on violin.

Godon's compositions are celebrated for their sensitivity and are tailored for couple dances like mazurkas, asymmetrical waltzes, and scottishes. Notably, he introduced the "scottish impair" in 2007, adding to the repertoire of contemporary folk dances.
